Also in July: Summer Sunday Social

 

Our Summer Sunday Social was a hazy sunshiny afternoon full of friends, food and fun for all!

We were once again hosted by our favourite local brewery, Calverley's tucked away on Hooper Street in Cambridge and decorated with all the ribbon bunting we could make! The lovely Joe fed nearly 50 of our lovely members and their partners and super fun kiddies - delicious Tacos and an amazing choice of beer to sup! 

​

We held out first ever Pudding off! With an awesome #1 trophy made and donated by local company GoGlass!  The inaugural contest was judged by the lovely Jo Beale, Anne Lewis and Laurence Ramsey - with overall winner, Jane Holmes, scooping the trophy for her yummy cheesecake! We expect stiff competition for Jane to defend the trophy next year!

We fundraised a little with very competitive hook a duck! and nicely stocked sweet cart and, of course, a raffle!  First prize - an Owl Quilt - was won by the lovely Helen L!

Our favourite part of the day was the pub quiz, with super quiz master Margot wielding the microphone!
