Also in November 2016:  Our Stall at the Blue Belles Craft Fair, 26 November 2016

Plus a sneaky extra Craft Club, 30 November 2016

An amazing effort by no less than 17 Cam City WI member contributors, all making be-ute-iful handmade and festive items for us to sell at this years Blue Belles WI Craft Fair.   The result? We made £218.50p for our charity of the year, Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre,

We were given a prime spot (up by the delicious cake!) and the lovely, Helen L, Harri W, Nikki B and Lisa (Pres) H woman-ed the stall giving it the very best 'dell-boy' to sell our items at the very fair prices we set for such hard work and contribution.

So many happy faces dropping by and of course friendly stall neighbours for company!

We sold an impressive array of:

  • Handmade (folk art, button adorned, cross stitched and 'Woolly punned') greeting cards!

  • Vintage tea cup pincushions and Hexie Pincushion sewing kits

  • Beautiful crocheted heart and star garlands and coaster sets

  • Etched glass light up bottles

  • Fabric, felt, paper and button tree decorations
    plus lots more!

So here is our opportunity to thank all that took the time to peruse and buy our homemade goodness, and mostly to our members (Molly H, Jenny A, Lisa H, Margot R, Helen B, Helen L, Bronwyn R, Ruth T, Tracy S, Jo B, Sharron M, Jenny M, Samantha B, Nikki B, Iona M, Eleanor C and Mel R) for pulling together and getting involved so that we gave a very lovely crafty impression to some potential new members and Cambridge shoppers!

Our thanks also to the lovely Blue Belles WI for giving us the opportunity - we hear the cake pulled in the big bucks too :)

The Cam City Craft Club Crew also got together to have a relaxed EXTRA craft in the pub session on Wednesday 30 November.   There was a smidge of knitting, crochet, 'Clanger' toy stuffing, teeny bobble hat making, a bit of cross stitch design and Liberty print bauble making (under the most excellent eyes of tutor Bronwyn).  See you next time at the Castle Pub on Monday 19 December 2016!
