Also in January 2017: CamCo go to Brancaster

Wowee! What a great CamCo weekend away back down in beautiful Brancaster Staithe, Norfolk – 46 members from Cam City, Blue Belles, Ladybirds and Castle WI’s in the wonderful National Trust bunk-bed heaven that is Dial House.

Arriving on Friday a few of the earlybirds headed straight for the local pub for yummy Mussels and sustenance before official set up!  Our very own Pres, Lisa, was one of the five excellent organisers for the whole trip and our thanks to them all for making every bit of it so fun and relaxed/energised!  

There really was something for everyone! Boardwalk walks, a little mooch to the local art shops, the Beach (for a little Women’s March campaigning! #pussyhat), crafting, marmalade making, chilling in PJ's and some great naps for some, lovely catering, dressing up and disco-ing PLUS ‘Mumma’ Sue’s Midnight Pancakes (totally a tradition now!).  It was so sad to leave our bunk-beds behind on Sunday, but we have great memories to look back on.

Our trip has really brightened our January and we hope that the next weekend away is booked soon!  We know what an incredible effort is put in when organising trips for our members but it’s something that all members attending have loved and contributed to with volunteering and working together.
