What made you join Cam City WI?

I had my son just before Cam City started and was in a place where my social life couldn't revolve around the pub anymore. One of my crafty friends was involved in founding the group and suggested I should join up.

Who inspires you and why?

At the moment Jeremy Corbyn is pretty inspiring. I like the way he has stuck to his guns for so long and worked for what he believes in. He isn't afraid to share his vision with others even if they have a bit of a different take on it and he allows change to come from within the movement building around him.

I'm also inspired by the increasing number of women willing to stand up and say NO! The women's matches, pussy hat project and #metoo campaign have all given me some much needed hope that there can be change for the better.

I guess you could sum it up as social justice warriors!

What's your philosophy in life?

Be the change you want to see. Or in other words don't just bitch about stuff if you aren't willing to get your hands dirty helping to change things. That can be as small as registering and voting or as big as dedicating your life to building a movement for social equality. It all helps.

Secret skills / Guilty Pleasure / what's your poison?

Secret skills: Google ninja - if it's there I will find it.

Guilty Pleasure: Uninterrupted reading time

Poison: Someone (can't think who) introduced me to espresso martinis..

What would you do with/for a million?

Go traveling with my family in our trailer tent for as long as the money lasted.

Top three bucket list items?

Going to Glastonbury with my kids, going on safari or to Madagascar, writing a book.

What would be the perfect day for you?

Wake up naturally fairly late, have a leisurely breakfast of lots of coffee and pastries on my own, long hot shower with the radio on, sitting in the sunshine reading a book most of the day while occasionally cuddling cute children who are playing nicely together and asking their father for everything they need. Dinner and drinks with friends in the pub followed by a long night of uninterrupted sleep in a very comfortable bed with lots of blankets and pillows.
