November 2018: Cambridge Spies

Our November Meeting was a very special one! We ditched our usual venue and hit the Cambridge streets with our guide, Dr Stephen Halliday.

A very brave Dr Halliday did us proud in light of his recent pnemonia(!) in our autumn weather (thankfully the rain stayed well away) by enthralling around 35 members with stories of famous Cambridge Spies, scandals and the Magnificent Five.  We took in the scenery in the evening darkness and light from King's College down to Trinty College.

We were also joined by a number of visitors including our very own Cambridge Federation President, Sally Kingman - she fedback 'A lovely evening, a great guide, super company, lovely gooey cake, dry weather and a local vociferous inhabitant on a bike - what more can you ask for!'

The gooey'est lovely Chocolate Orange Millionaire Shortbread was provided by our lovely member Liz C - what a treat.
