What do you do for fun?/Hobbies and interests?

I have a wide range of interests from dressmaking to music to swimming. However, I find I often have the most fun trying something completely different.

 

How did you get involved in the WI?

​

I had moved to the Cambridgeshire area and was looking for a way to meet more like-minded people.  The year I joined was the WI’s centenary, and so the publicity made me research into the WI’s that were active in my area. I’ve been hooked since my first meeting.

 

Why did you join the committee?

​

I decided to join in response to the enthusiasm of those already involved in the committee and because it’s another excuse to spend more time with a lovely group of women.

 

What is your favourite thing about the WI?

​

The variety of activities and personalities.

 

What is your worst habit?

​

A compulsive need to finish things: a craft project, a book, or even an entire box set in an evening.

 

Who would you most like to meet and why?

​

I don’t have a good track record with celebrities. Between the accidents, injuries and general confusion, they are probably best avoided.

 

What is your craft? 

​

I’m a jack of all trades and master of none.

 

What is/are your guilty pleasure(s)?

​

A relaxed and indulgent trip to the spa.

 

What do you do? 

​

I work in development on educational reform projects for Cambridge International Examinations.

 

What is your poison?

​

I would never say no to a glass of bubbles!
